In order of popularity, what languages are taught in the UK? Ignore
non European languages.

in primary school  are in order: French, German, Spanish and Italian.

language:

I am studying French and am in my last year of study with the Open
University. I was somewhat surprised when someone suggested that
Spanish was now the main second language in the UK, as I really
believed it to be French. I feel vindicated!
