A recent review by Leonard and Swain (1) examined the literature
regarding the number of DCIS cases that are ER positive. They
reviewed 21 independent studies which totaled 1920 patients. The
average percent of DCIS cases that were ER positive is 64%. The range
is from 32%-90%.
