Apply to all of the ones that you would like to attend. That way if you dont excepted at some you will have some backups. |

remember this is different for everyone, some people know what college they want to go to before they even know what high school they are going to. the most important thing to base your decision on is how comfortable you feel at the college. this does not always mean taking a formal visit or an open house tour. of course they will make you feel comfortable and want to go there. rather, plan a road trip with some friends where you visit the colleges you wish to go to, and just go on random days when there are classes. you can usually just walk into the larger classes and not even be noticed. talk to the students and see how they feel about the school. you could prolly get one to shouw you their dorm if you are concerned about that. hope this helps a little. I recommend staying overnight at each of your possible colleges and sitting in on a few days of freshman classes... The more the better, but you may get lucky and find one you love after only visiting a couple. |
