Question ID: 408570
When I initiate Outlook I get this pop up that says "The proceedure entry point
GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL."
This just showed up. After clicking on it several times it goes away
and the program seems to work fine. It however does come back if I go
to calendar or tasks etc.
and then back to "Outlook Today" mode. It is basically annoying to say
the least. Would really appreciate any help to eliminate such. Thank
You..

Hi casey1,

I'm posting this as a clarification until I'm sure it works for you.

1. Press Shift+F10 to open up a DOS box
2. Type taskmgr.exe and press ENTER from the command line
3. When the task manager opens, select the Processes tab

(If steps 1 & 2 do not open the task manager, try pressing
Ctrl+Shift+Esc. That should bring it up. Continue to step 3.)

4. Select the unregmp2.exe and end it
5. Click the Applications tab
6. Select the error window and click End Task
7. The window will close, you can exit your DOS box

Let me know if this solved your problem.

Best regards,
Rainbow

Howdy Rainbow,
I looked at all the process listings and could not find unregmp2.
Appreciate the help. Note: I have found several things on Google Web Search.
They mostly point me to a Spyware program to buy. This kind of leads me to think
it might be some cookie or the like that I picked up???
Thanks, Casey1

Hi davids77,
I went to Microsoft Support as you requested and it
seems that this problem has come up before.
Downloaded their fix and it appears to have done the trick.
Thanks to everyone involved... Casey1..

You could restore the file form your windows disk under the recovery
console. You just need to know the correct path. The correct path
should look something like this at the prompt.

copy d:\windows\system32\MSDART.DLL c:
D: being your cd drive and c being your hard disk drive.
You would have to check on the correct path but it should look something like that.

Or you can try this.
