I would like to write a VB.net program that will retrieve and enter
data from other Windows applications. That is, the VB program would
start up the other application and "screen scrape" its windows.

Screen scraping is old hat from character cell terminals. And there
are many applications that can screen scrape an HTML screen. The
screen scraper I am looking for would be able, for example, to enter
and retrieve information from an accounting application, for example.
It would locate fields on the forms in the application and either
enter data or read it. The accounting application would react as if a
human being was doing the interaction.

I'd like to know the name of 3 such applications (if they exist).

Thanks!
