I'm looking for the title of a Rage Against the Machine song that I
heard a while back. I'm pretty sure it was all instrumental, and the
verse had a very jazzy feel and all the 8ths were swung.
I figured out the bassline and the guitar parts, and I think it was in
dropped-D tuning.

The bass in the verse went something like:

And then the verse was much heavier:

Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure just the 8ths in the chorus
are swung, and the verse was straight.
Also, the verse guitar part should go like this:

I plugged in and played what you have tabbed - in front of a friend
that is solid Rage fan - but we can't figure this one out.

Do you remember where you last heard this song?

Actually, it was on a tape with a few other songs that I got from my
guitar instructor a long time ago. It was kind of an assignment for me
to learn it. I either gave him back the tape, or lost it, and now I
can't seem to find the song anywhere. I don't believe that it was ever
an album track, as I have heard all the albums. I guess it was
unreleased or something. Thanks for looking into it though.
