To provide more information. I want to know how to make an assay so I
can use it to purify a protein that's in a mixture of proteins. In
other words, I want the assay to be able to identify the protein I am
looking for. If this is not clear please let me know.

Are you looking for a spectrophotometric method? Electrophoresis? Is
this a lab project? What kind of assay do you want? It may depend on
the equipment and reagents you have available. What kind of specimen?
