A new Indian restaurant opened near me and the manager gave me his card. I was impressed. His name was given followed by MA and his position shown as Managing Director. Here in the UK, 'MA' means Master of Arts so I asked him what it stood for. He said 'Manager of Admnistration'. I have seen quite obscure qualifications listed after someone's name. I've never listed my (real) professional qualification after my name. Who cares? |
