The Dallas Central Appraisal District (DCAD) is responsible for
appraising property for the purpose of ad valorem property tax
assessment on behalf of the 51 local governing bodies in Dallas County
and parts of the six surrounding counties. The appraisal district is a
political subdivision of the State of Texas. Our duties include
establishing and maintaining accurate property values for all real and
business personal property.

The response shows a "value" for the property at 2222 Bethurum Ave. as $18,490.
Is this the appraised value which serves as the basis for the real
estate tax, or is it an estimate of the actual value?

Dear Oldben,

Thank you for your clarification.

In order to obtain an accurate and correct answer to your question, I
sent off an email to the DCAC office asking if the value shown is the
appraised value which serves as the basis for the real estate tax or
if is it an estimate of the actual value of the property.

I should receive a reply tomorrow and I will post it immediately.

Thank you for your patience.
