Hi Rainbow, I think your math is wrong. The equation should be (x-10) * x = 1 or x^2 - 10x - 1 = 0 Your formula does account for multiplying the number by itself. |

more specifically ( 10 + (104) ^ .5 ) / 2 or ( 10 - (104) ^ .5 ) / 2 where (104) ^ .5 represents the square root of 104. |

There are two number which fulfil the above mentioned problem: 5 + sqrt(26) = 10.099019513 5 - sqrt(26) = -0.099019513 |
