LIFE, n. A spiritual pickle preserving the body from decay. We live in daily apprehension of its loss; yet when lost it is not missed. The question, "Is life worth living?" has been much discussed; particularly by those who think it is not, many of whom have written at great length in support of their view and by careful observance of the laws of health enjoyed for long terms of years the honors of successful controversy. Hi Seattle, First of all I'm sorry I may have offended you. Its just that there have been so many questions identical to yours on this forum. Here is a link to one of many: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=399926 And FYI, I am NOT a fat guy looking for girls.... :) Steph53 |

You don't always get the answer you wanted. Thats life.

In hitchhicker's guide to the galaxy they gave the meaning of life as 42. If you turn that upside down you get "2b" or "to be". So the meaning of life is "to be". But you may ask "Whats the meaning of 42?" again, according to hitchicker's guide to the galaxy, it's 6 x 9 (which is only equal to 42 if you look at it in base-13). Thus we turn this upside down and achieve 6 x 9. Old Doug really knew how to screw with peoples minds. |

If you need proof just go to GA home page and type in my nic... Everyone here is wonderful and helpful. Please don't stop posting a question or a comment just because of my/our comments. And,FYI... lol... I *may* be hot but I'm home alone this cold Sunday night :( Stick around, post a few questions and comments ( they are free )...Its a fun/ Caring website. Steph53 |

Hey, seattle12345678910, Here's a hint. You can search G**gle Answers for questions that have already been asked on a subject. I'm afraid that one has been asked a lot, especially lately. So you could cancel this one and save your $2.00, because earlier answers will probably do as well as any you'd get now. After you've lurked for a while and maybe added comments to a few other questions, give it another try. Especially when you have a question that can actually be answered by research--research that takes some skill to do--GA can't be beat. Archae0pteryx (a longtime customer) |

Hi, seattle12345678910-ga One thing's for sure, you won't find it in Seattle. Funnily enough all the previous questions on this topic also came from Seattle. So, I guess the answer is to move on ... Why not try Baghdad? |

Dear Seattle, I really apologise for my comment, which was - as Steph said, a byproduct of us having about 32 versions of the same question. BTW - What's so wrong with being fat? Why do you feel you need to insult? |

Seattle12345678910-ga, This apologising back and forth is getting boring. You probably should have looked up some of the previous answers to the meaning of life but heck, its good to see this question pop up again once in a while. Keeps it up the top and gets some new views that probably wouldn't be put in a single page that was already crowded with hundreds of comments. If your looking for some of the previous questions and answers on the meaning of life please check out the list below. http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=325417 http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=139239 http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=95936 http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=269968 http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=99493 http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=75873 http://www.answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=13017 Good luck and never feel ashamed to question the universe or your dog's bad breath. |

Presuming you are asking the question with reference to "your" life..I believe the meaning of life is the life itself! Finding the meaning for anything implies that you have to have some context for defining the meaning in the context of and since your life is the overall context, you live life and that is the meaning of it. As a more general question in terms of humanity as a whole, I think it is a physical irreversible process which the whole humanity collectively interprets in different fashion and we call it life. May be you can google some more you will find it :-) |
