Dear Lee,

A favourite film of mine, too, with great music, that really defines
each period. The music there is really part of the film, integrated
into the scenes. The best example might be the scene where Henry Hill
drives his car, with Layla (in the full wonderful piano version)
playing in the background and his gangster life starting to
deteriorate.

A full list of the songs that appeared in the film, with their writers
and composers, is available through IMDB:
IMDB - Soudtrack for Goodfellas
<http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099685/soundtrack>

The Soundtrack itself is available from several online shops, as you
can see using Froogle (the shopping search engine):
Froogle - search for Goodfellas soundtrack
<://www.google.com/froogle?q=goodfellas+soundtrack&btnG=Search+Froogle>

I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarification on this answer before you rate it.

Search terms:
Searched IMDB (www.imdb.com) for "Goodfellas" and then chose "Soundtrack".
Searched Froogle (www.froogle.com) for "Goodfellas" and "soundtrack"
to find some ways for you to buy the soundtrack.
