Dear Cindi,

I find this question very interesting, but I'd be pleased if you could
tell me a little more on what you're expecting as an answer.

Since divorce has become the norm and is so accepted today, is Coser's
theory really relevant in divorce? Divorce is final, there is no more
conflict, the conflict lead to a break down. I see this more of a
Conflict theorists' perception than as a Functionalists. Yet I'm being
taught that by Cosers theory, divorce is functional. How is this
possible?
Thank you for your patience!
