A few more details would be helpful. If you want to clear your browser history, or a toolbar history, let us know. We'll need to know the name of the browser or toolbar. If you mean "history" in the sense of "the story of mankind," I doubt that it can be cleared. It is far too muddy. |

I want to clear the browser history and I use Internet Explorer. In other words when I click on google I do not want previous sites to be displayed. |

Open Internet Explorer and click Tools --> Internet Options. Below left of the dialog box is a button called "Clear History". Press that and all your browser and "Run" history will be cleared. Any Help?? |

"Below left of the dialog" Sorry, I meant the other left. It should be below right, of course. |

I realize there is clear history, but I am not sure how to clear the google history. When I click on google, it shows the history of google sites. The internet options clear history does not clear the google sites. |

Sorry sersland, I misunderstood. I too have not found a way to do this in the system, but what I do is this: 1) Place the cursor into the search space 2) Tap the down key to display the list 3) Place your mouse on the first line in the dropdown list and highlight that word or words 4) Whilst holding your mouse on the line just hold down the delete key. This will delete all the lines until the list is empty. It does go quickly, so if you perhaps have a word or words you wish to keep then pay attention. The list is alphabetical, so it's quite easy to stop in time. Any good?? |

OK, I now have been able to clear google with the highlight and then delete key. It was simple, yet I did not see it. Daniel Sersland |
