Hi there,
I will be graduating from the University of Florida with a BS in
Computer Science this December. My current plan is to start graduate
school in the Fall of 2005, either here at UF, or a few other places I
have in mind. That leaves Spring and Summer open and I would like to
use this time to gain some good experience.
I am looking for a list of Internship, Co-Op, or perhaps temporary
positions that take place anytime between January and August of 2005.
I don't need a huge list, relevancy is more important to me than a
large quantity of suggestions. The list should include things like a
link to a description of the job posting, contact email addresses,
locations, when applicable, and a brief description of the position.
I am interested in perhaps a web and database programming position.
I just finished a project using PHP and MySQL, so I have some useful
experience in that respect. Any kind of programming position would be
good, preferable in a language I have used before such as C++ and
JAVA. Also, I've recently added one thing to my life agenda, and that
is to work towards eliminating the spam problem, so something related
to that would be very interesting. Are there organizations out there
that specialize in that? Some of my interests unrelated to computer
science are music (playing and listening), graphic design(i spend a
lot of time messing with photoshop), and wilderness preservation.
However, I don't need to limit myself to positions relating to the
interests i described above. I'm always willing to learn new skills.
Regarding location, I am willing to relocate. I live in Florida,
that would be an ideal location. Also my girlfriend moved to San
Diego, so it would also be nice to be close to there. But I do not
want to limit myself to those areas.
Of course, I would prefer a paid internship, but unpaid is fine.
Here is a link to a PDF of my Resume to help you refine your search.

Please feel free to ask for any clarifications. I'll most likely
respond within a couple hours, being an internet junky and all.
Thanks a bunch!
ps-working for Google would be pretty awesome. |
