I have an Australian friend who uses 'shorbe' as his screen name. He will not tell me what 'shorbe' means, only that it is "obscure". I can't seem to find a definition anywhere. | |

FWIW, the word, with different spelling means "soup" in: - Romanian - Turkish - Hindu(?) - not sure about this one, but I found what you had online. I wish you success in finding the "real" answer. I didn't find any other meaning. |

Possibly : Shorbe -> Shaw Be -> G Bernard Shaw -> Pygmailion -> Eliza Doolittle Unlikely, but an interesting possibility. And possibly a compliment. |
