Request for Question Clarification by scriptor-ga on 04 Oct 2004 17:49 PDT
Dear jtrov,

Concerning the first part of your question, I assume that what you
mean is actially the "linea serpentina", or serpentine line. What
exactly do you want to know about it?
And as for the second part: Could you please elaborate that? What
context are you referring to in connection with the term "valerium"?

Regards,
Scriptor

For the first part of the question, im not really sure what i want. i
need a definition for ligna serpentina. The only thing i have that
could clarify it is a sentance i have out of the study guide. It is
regarding the picture Madonna with the Long Neck by Parmigianino, and
says "The cool , idealized, aristocratic figures are now distorted to
the limit and the very fluid modeling augments the ligna serpentina
and the picture's surface. For the second part of the question, i
again need a definition for valerium. i have another sentance out of
the study guide regarding the picture The Burial of count Orgaz by El
Greco. The sentance says The Burial of Count Orgaz is a valerium
placed directly above the count's actual tomb. I hope this clarifies
the questions for you. Thank You
