In a previous Google Answer, researcher "pinkfreud" gave a good overview of Silent Chemical Demolition Agents (SCDA's) used for breaking rock. They're generally used in urban environments where high explosives are too dangerous because of flying rock, or by amateurs who don't have the time to get a high-explosives permit, etc. I would like to get an estimate of the market size for this type of product. Many of the manufacturers are listed in the previous Google Answer here: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=354284 They include RockTek, NoneX, Fract.AG, Dexpan, etc. This may be a tough question, but I would accept an understanding of the total explosives market size (in dollars), plus a reasonable estimate of the sub-set which could or would prefer the chemical demolition agents. Finally, if it's not possible to answer this question for the $20, I would accept a good explanation of how I WOULD go about answering it by purchasing specific market reports, etc. Thank you! |

I gave this a shot, but I wasn't able to turn up anything useful for you. I've sent out several email inquiries, but the rate of response on such things is usually dismal. I hope another Researcher will be able to help. |

pinkfreud - I really appreciate your effort. I have more questions about SCDA's but I will try to ask something more reasonable next time. I would certainly pay you in the future (by re-asking this question) if you get any useful responses to your e-mails. Thanks. |
