Hi megr, I think contemporary board books are made by printing on paper and then laminating the paper onto the boards. The result will not only be strong but waterproof as well. Regards, hummer |

Thanks for the comment, what I am looking for is what machines do they use to laminate the paper and what steps are taken in what order. For example: Do you print on paper, then laminate the paper, then attach the paper to the baord? What type of laminating machine is used? How is the paper attached to the boards to "bind" the book? Or do you "bind" the book (attaching the paper to the board) before you laminate? Do they use a die cutting maching to make the shape/size? Who makes this type of machine? Can they be custom made? Do you use this machine to cut the boards before or after assembly (do you "bind" the entire book, then trim it down with a machine so that it is the right size/shape? If you have more information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. |
