Hello, First, I require datas on number of homeless death in manhattan (can be rough numbers). Is there a certain procedure (or any example of a procedure) from their death to the burial or cremation (considering a lot of them don't have family members present to take care of their death)? What is the percentage of cremation in homeless death? ask me if you need more clarification. comments are appreciated too! Thank you, sincerely, s |

it is the usual practice for when homeless people die, for their bodies to be held until it is possible for the state to see whether any family is on record. If not, all of them are cremated, unless otherwise stated in a legal document such as a will etc (although this is not likely with the homeless). I'm afraid i cant find any numbers for deaths, but i hope this information is helpful |
