I have it on impeccable authority that Queen Wilhelmina of the
Netherlands used to spend a lot of time on Het Loo.

For those few of you who are not familiar with the Dutch lingo, please
be advised that the Dutch often mispell the word 'The' by transforming
it into 'Het'. Don't know why. Could be a dyslexia thing.

Would any of our learned researchers know whether she suffered from
diarheea or constipation?

Hiya Bryan,

I don't have an *answer* for you, but I can tell you that I'm pretty
much of a "potty person" myself.
I don't suffer from diarhea or constipation, but rather from too many "leeks".

Hope that helps.

Maybe it was the only quiet place for her to read.

:D

This is the most funny one I've come across so far!

Just happen to be Dutch and live in Holland, so I got a clue what your
talking about.

Although I have a certain suspicion that your trying to fool us,
here's your answer (and its free too!)

First of all the english word 'the' translates to 'het' 'de' of 'een' in Dutch.
Next 'Loo' has nothing to do with toilets, bathrooms or constipation problems...

In fact 'Het Loo' is one of the great palaces of the Royal Family of
the Netherlands

A small quote from the website of the palace (http://www.paleishetloo.nl):
"Het Loo Palace, in the woodland setting of Apeldoorn in the heart of
the Netherlands, was the favourite summer residence of the
Stadtholders and the Royal Family of the Netherlands from 1686 to
1975. Since 1984 the palace has served as a museum after a spectacular
restoration of the buildings and the gardens, returning them to their
original seventeenth century state. "

The website also has pictures of the palace in it's current state and
gives more info on its history.

So one more problem solved, no dyslexia, no constipation problems,
just a royal palace!

Have fun
