Hello,

I am a small manufacturer of textile products and would very much like
to produce seating covers for vehicles of the various major
manufactures (GM, Ford, BMW, etc.)  However, my searches have come up
empty.  I have only found companies that already produce and sell seat
covers; companies that I would consider my competition.

I am looking for information on companies that make and sell patterns
(or templates to create the various parts that needs to be sewn
together.

I do not wish to have names of companies who are my competitor as I
have found plenty.

Or is it possible to acquire these patterns directly from the
automobile manufacturer?

Also, any other pertinent information you may come across that could
possibly be of any value to my being successful in my new venture
would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your question.

Are you looking for patterns that are identical to the existing
patterns on the seats themselves, or are you looking for new textile
patterns in general?  For instance this company here,
"http://www.autoseats.com/" doesn't "match" patterns -- they simply
make a new seat with a new pattern.

Yes.  I am looking for patterns that are Identical to the seats that
were previously or are presently being manufacture by the big
automakers.  As I intend to enter the automotive seating cover market,
it may be more feasible for to purchase or lease these pattern instead
of trying to create the multitudes of the various unique styles from
scratch.
