Question ID: 411429
I am looking to buy 150 processors made by the manufacturer Rise Technology.
The part number is MP6DPAPH5.
I cannot find anyone who has any of these in stock and searching for
the part number dous not bring any results.
The only info I can find on Rise is the odd press cutting.
Can you help?

Rise Technologies was acquired by SiS in October 1999. Here is an old
product information page courtesy of archive.org:

It has the MP6 processor that you are looking for. I could not however
figure out which specific MP6 processor you are looking for by the
part number alone, but have taken it upon myself to email SiS
concerning their acquisition of Rise Technologies and whether or not
they still will be able to provide this old processor for sales. I
seriously doubt that any electronics warehouse would still carry this
part in stock since it is an almost 6-year-old processor easily
dwarfed by any budget processor today.

Here is more information on the MP6 family of processors:

Please let me know if this is an acceptable answer to your question,
and I will post it as such. Thank you for your question.

The input you had is good but I do not have any more specific
information on the part number.
All I know is I have to buy 150 for a customer as soon as possible!!

I await SiS's response to my inquiry, but please be prepared for a
response from them which may not be desirable. SiS could very well
have bought out Rise Technology and buried their designs, although
what is more likely is that they simply do not produce such an
outdated chip anymore.

SiS never responded to my emails. Please let me know how you would
like me to proceed as I don't think there's another credible source of
this Processor. Thank you very much.
