Question about the rules for becoming President/Prime Minister in different countries. Is it true that a non-UK national can become UK Prime Minister? Are there any residency requirements? What about other countries? Which countries have had foreigners as prime minister (I hear perhaps New Zealand)? Thankyou |

In the UK, other than age, the requirements are pretty much the same as for being able to vote. You need to be a british citizen over the age of 21 to stand for parliment. The Prime Minister is merely the leader of the party with the most seats in the house of commons. |
