Hi mcmeyer5,
Thank you for your question.
In general, Guineas and Chins get along nicely but it should only be
for *short visits* and not permanent housing. If they seem to like
each other it should be no problem for short visits. However, to be
on the safe side they should be watched so the chinchillas aren't
hurting the guinea pigs.

Will a chinchilla get along with my other pets?

"It is not advisable to house any other animals full time with
chinchillas due to diet and sleep considerations. Guinea pigs and
rabbits can be part time companions (especially if no food is
offered), but chinchillas need their daytime sleep and need to stay on
their regular diet, as do the other animals."

"... normally guinea pigs cages are long, and chinchillas cages are
high. I think guinea pigs like the long cages and chinchillas like the
height to jump."
"... there are several issues to think about. Guinea Pigs and
chinchillas eat different food, and if given the chance, your chin
will eat the guinea pigs food before he eats his own, and guinea pig
food is bad for him. Also the guinea pig is more than likely going to
keep the chin awake during the day, and vise versa at night - they
have different sleeping patterns."
"... guinea pigs and chinchillas thrive in different ambient
temperatures, as well: 10-15 degrees centigrade for the chinchillas,
15-24 degrees for the guinea pigs."
"Chinchillas and Guinea Pigs can't live together. The eat different
foods. They require different cages and bedding. They arent the same,
you can't put them in the same cage."
