I would like to learn more about ticket marketing strategy for Olympic
Games (or other large sporting events if no information is available
re: the Olympics). For example... how far in advance do the Olympic
Committees normally start selling the tickets? What are the typical
distributors? What percentage of the tickets are purchased online?
What is a typical distribution between local and international ticket
purchasers? What percentage of the tickets aer provided to
not-for-profit organizations? What kind of pricing strategies are
normally employed. Why did there appear to be so many empty seats at
the recent Athens Summer Games.
