Silicon dioxide is sometimes added to foods as an anti-caking agent, but I can't imagine why anyone would take it as a "supplement." Essentially, silicon dioxide is pretty much the same thing as sand, and is just as nourishing. |

Powdered silicon dioxide can be very bad for you if it gets in your lungs, but I have never heard of any health problems or benefits from eating silicon dioxide. |
