Question ID: 411990
I need some really old music from the '40s, '50s and '60s and I cannot
seem to find them online.

What I need is a website or a warehouse that I can rush order the
music from in time for a performance to benefit cancer victims on Oct.
15th. More specifically, I need the background music for a vocalist to
sing the lyrics. The singer that will sing the music is a soprano.

The songs I'm looking for are as follows:

"To Dream the Impossible Dream" (from the musical "The Man from LaMancha")

"I believe" (1952)

"When you walk through a storm" OR "Walk on" (And We are not sure of
the exact title)

Thank you in advance for all of your help.

Are you looking for karaoke music or sheet music? Also, the last song
song you seek is called "You'll Never Walk Alone," from the musical
"Carousel."

Hi, Kriswrite,

I'm looking for a background CD or cassette tape that will play the
music so the song can be vocalized. If that's what karaoke music is,
than that will work fine.

Thanks.

Hi Michael~

Thank you for the clarification. Indeed, karaoke music is just the
orchestra or band playing the music (without singers). There are many
places to buy CDs of these songs. However, after browsing them, and
trying to find the songs you desired for the least amount of money,
with quick shipping service, I recommend Ace Karaoke.

They have ?You?ll Never Walk Alone? on the ?ProSound Showtunes? CD:
http://store.yahoo.com/acekaraoke/spps1120eg.html

?The Impossible Dream? is on the ?Be a Star on Broadway? CD:
http://store.yahoo.com/acekaraoke/spsd1195eg.html and on ?Favorite
Broadway and Movie Songs? CD:
http://store.yahoo.com/acekaraoke/smmg6023eg.html

?I Believe? is available on their ?Gold City? CD:
http://store.yahoo.com/acekaraoke/scb10009eg.html and ?LeeAnn Rimes?
CD: http://store.yahoo.com/acekaraoke/scb10022eg.html

You may pay for these online, using a credit card, and
You may select UPS Next Day, UPS 2nd Day Air, or UPS 3 Day Select to
get the CDs to you right away.

Good luck!

Thanks for the great rating :) I'm not sure how the 1950s version
would vary from the "I Believe" I mentioned. I did make sure, however,
to not give you the Elvis version, which was unlikely to be in a good
key for a soprano :)

Here is a karaoke CD with the Frank Sinatra version of "I Believe;"
perhaps this is what you're after:

Hi again, Kriswrite:
Thanks for the help. The only one I did not order was the "I
Believe", because I am a close to positive that I can get that the two
groups you recommended are not singing the 1952 version. I did,
however, order the other two.

Thanks for your help.
