have windows xp homeE. When I save any thing to Documents or pictures
- I have a problem. When you click on the properties of the item It
reads
 C:\Documents and Settings\James Sumrow\My Documents\My Pictures
well when you attach of post items on the internet - Theres my name - Question

Where & or how can I say change the James Sumrow to say something like JS ?
Hope I don't have to reinstall Windows ?

Hi amiteriver,

Thank you for your question.  You won't have to install Windows!


1. Right-click My Documents (on the desktop), and then click Properties.

2. In the Target box, type the new path to the My Documents folder, 

for ex., C:\Documents and Settings\JS\My Documents\My Pictures

What I have as the target is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Pictures

3. Click Apply
4. Click OK

Additionally...

3. Click Yes to move files from the old My Documents location to the
new location, or click No if you do not want to move these files.

*Note - clicking No does not delete the files in the old location, but
means they are no longer visible from My Documents after the change.
