I have a Sony Clie PEG-SJ20 and I have Son?t ver of Plam Desktop running on Win XP Pro SP1 on Virtual PC 6 on a iMac (17inch). I don?t want to sync with any Mac programs, just the Outlook 2003 in the VPC environment. I installed the Clie Palm Software from the CD and HotSync manager is working and set to USB. but when I go to sync, nothing happens. Do I have to set something in VPC to get USB to carry over to the PC side? Here is a lead I found, but it wasn?t clear when I read it what I should do. http://www.oreillynet.com/cs/user/view/cs_msg/7093 thanx in advance | |

Hi sherpaj-ga, Great to hear you can sync your Sony Clie Question: Need help syncing my Sony Clie with OS X and Virtual PC Answer: To turn on USB support in Virtual PC, follow these steps: On the Window menu, click Virtual PC List. Click the virtual machine that you want to support USB devices. Click Settings. Click USB. Note After you turn on or turn off support for USB devices, you must restart the virtual machine if it is currently running. You cannot make changes to virtual machines that are part of a Saved State. Click to select the Enable USB check box. Click Restart.
