How does one open a bank account in the US when one is resident in
another country?  A visa facility would be very helpful.

go to http://www.valisinternational.com and folow the instructions to
get a US Bank Account with MasterCard.

You don't have to show up in person and you should already have
everything that is required of you lying around your house.  The only
thing you will likely have to leave your house for is the Bank
Reference.

The process is simple and quick, and completely legal, satisfying all
the USA PATRIOT Act requirements as well as the BSA and the rest of
the regulations/requirements.
