I am trying to find the Web site of a specific piece of software I read about in the International Herald Tribune this year. The software was for language learning and was available for learning a variety of languages. The defining feature of the software was that it would record voice, do some kind of spectral analysis compared with samples of native speakers, and play back a pitch-modified sample (not just simple play back for comparison). At the time some European languages were available, with Japanese to be available later. I vaguely recollect that the software was developed by an Israeli company, but this was featured in the IHT article and not on the company's Web site. I want the URL of the company's/software's Web site. |

Hello 1dominic-ga, It appears to me that you're referring to the software SpeedLingua. The link to SpeedLingua's home page is: http://www.speedlingua.com A prominent Israeli company developing language learning & translation software is Babylon. It's home page is located at: http://www.babylon.com In case you're looking for this information from a user's perspective, i.e. if you want to use a software that matches the above description for your requirements, I'd like to recommend to you software from Rosetta Stone. Based on the limited description you've provided, I think Rosetta Stone will be able to match your requirements. The link to Rosetta Stone is: http://www.rosettastone.com Thanks for asking this challenging question! Regards, bestsearcher-ga |
