Hello sherpaj

I can answer the second part of your question, would this be
sufficient for an answer?

The first question would require more information on your computer
system (Windows? Linux? Mac?). Can you also explain what you mean
when you say "something that is super safe" from viruses? Do you mean
the RSS reader will not contain viruses?
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

It sounds like you're using a 'nix OS?

Regardless, FireFox has a builtin RSS feed that integrates right into
your browswer and bookmarks. It is worth a try and is very easy AND
SAFE.
