What is the aria sung by Jose Carreras in the alternate ending
of the movie "Spy Game"?  From what I understand, this was a favorite
piece of his late mother, Elizabeth Jean Scott, and was played during
her funeral.

I do believe the song you mention is "Vesti la giubba" from
"Pagliacci." Please go to this link and listen to song #12, and verify
that it's the correct aria. (It is, however, a different rendition of
the song than what was heard in the film.)

I've read that the aria is from "Pagliacci" by Giuseppe Verdi. 
However, I've been unable to confirm this.  If it is indeed "Vesti la
Giubba", I'd like to locate the specific version used in the film.
