Hopefully someone can help but is there any other information to
assist, such as did the fault just suddenly occur or was it preceded
by something such as downloads or service pack installations etc?

Personally I do a spyware, spider, worm etc search first for ?odd? problems.

The very first step toward troubleshooting Outlook is to run Detect
and REpair from the Help menu. Have you done that? If you cannot
access the Help menu dropdown at ALL, then get your Office XP CD out
and go into your Windows Control Panel and run a repair on Office
altogether. Though your files should be safe, you should always backup
files before performing such a task. If it were my own machine, I
would NOT backup my files.

Have already checked for spyware, etc. Have also tried "detect and
repair" No luck. Problems possibly started after installing Windows Xp
service pack 2.
