Question ID: 413423
I am looking for a financial vehicle that tracks the US commodities
market ? like a commodities fund that tracks the Dow Jones Futures
Index.
Preferably an ETF (electronically traded fund) would be the best vehicle.

FOR EXAMPLE:

If i wanted to track the NASDAQ 100 i wouldn't buy 1 share of each
corp. listed in the NASDAQ 100 i would by a share of the Cube
(QQQ)-the Nasdaq 100's ETF.

likewise with the S&P 500 - i would buy a Spyder (SPY)- the s&P 500 ETF.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I cant purchase a contract in every commodity, is there some way i can
invest in an ETF, mutual fund, ec setera so that I can track the
performance of the commodies.

Hi cashindahat,
Would you be willing to trade futures contracts? There definitely
exists an index that follows the price of a basket of commodities and
can be traded through futures contracts, although each contract costs
about $150,000. Is this what you're looking for?

Best regards,
elmarto
