A friend has a question as follows: "I once saw a fragment of a film
set in Ireland about an oracle that lived down a remote well - it was
from Delphi (I think) & that had survived because of the remote
location - of course once the oracle was discovered all the local
yokels wanted to ask it the results of the 2.15 at Ballymorony and so
forth. The film was black & white. Since I only saw a fragment of the
film maybe the oracle was not an oracle but a yokel playing tricks on
other members of the village. Does anyone recognise the film please?"
