I'm interested in seeing this film for only one reason - it looks like he obtained some fascinating Iraq war footage that I've never seen online or from a major news outlet. I personally despise Mr. Moore, and I'd rather not line his pockets by buying his movie. Is there another way I could see this footage other than buying or renting this movie? (I know that renting doesn't directly benefit him, but I'm always chronically late with movie rentals). | |

PCVentures -- You might check with your local library to see if they've purchased a copy for lending. Obviously you could query friends to see if any have purchased a copy of the newly-issued DVD. Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

Join Netflix.com. It's cheap, the money doesn't go to M.M. and they don't have late fees. And if you really want a thrill read "The New Pearl Harbor" by David R. Griffin, hopefully before election day. (I'll send you a copy if you can't get it through a library) .. . :=) |

Also, if you get your hands on this film, don't miss the grainy footage of a public beheading in Saudi Arabia. The Bush family has a long history of high-end dealings with the Saudi royal family, who presides over public beheadings every Friday night. So much for supporting American ethics and democracy. There are plenty of people who despise MM for whatever reason but the content is certainly worth exploring (before election day I hope)... |

Apologies for not making my question more clear - what I really meant to ask was this: "Are the sources that Mr. Moore got his footage from available to the general public, or does he have special access" or, "Has anyone else beside Mr. Moore released a DVD of extensive Iraq war footage?" FYI, I live in Westchester County, NY |

According to Roger Friedman of Fox News, Moore licensed the Iraq footage from "an Australian documentary filmmaker and artist named George Gittoes." Here's a link to the story: Fox News: "Where 'Fahrenheit' Footage Came From" http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,128217,00.html. |

You would be able to see the entire movie from your own computer if you download it from the internet. Personally I feel that Bearshare is one of the safest you can use without having any viruses popup. I have used it for just this type of problem, The Passion of the Christ. It doesnt take long to set up and you can take it off your computer after your done if you still dont feel comfortable with it bearshare installed afterwards. Here is the link to install... http://www.bearshare.com/ http://download.bearshare.com/BSPROINSTALL.exe |
