Peachy! My daughter and her family moved in with me for a while, she
uses my computer while I'm at work, and now I'm having spyware issues.
After opening Google, which is my homepage, I get a full page popup
right after Google opens, and this happens every time I open a new
Google page, though I use the Google popup blocker, and usually popups
aren't full page. I get these popup pages when I surf to other sites.
AND(!!!) every few minutes I get a blank cyan-colored page with this
message:
sendExternalEvent('EVENT:IEBROWSER:www.ad-w-a-r-e.com/callback_ron.php?GUID={A741D2B2-40A8-473E-96E7-49115CE081F8}&bidid=9');
I run Spybot-S&D regularly. I run AVG antivirus several times a week.
I keep my startup clean of unwanted items using CodeStuff Starter and
msconfig.exe. My add/remove programs list has "180SearchAssistant
Uninstall" listed, and I can't make this entry go away. However, I'm
not sure it is my problem. I'm often able to take care of these things
but I'm stumped this time.

zipidydoda (great name, by the way)...

We can get you taken care of. First thing, download AdAware from
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/. Install it, get the most recent update.
Then, download the VX plugin from
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/addons/vx2cleaner.shtml and this
should take care of it. Let me know and we can take it from there.

OH WOW!!!! It's been several hours since I finished the recommended
remedy procedure and the popups and the cyan "sendExternalEvent. . ."
screen have not returned. I am very pleased. Thank you very much!

zipidydoda..

I am glad we got you taken care of. Be sure and run AdAware on at
least a weekly basis (being sure to check for updates) to keep those
nasty buggers off for good.

Thanks for your question!
