bigmike1946... Welcome to the world of spyware and hijacks. The hijack you have is a fairly common one. There are two ways you can remove this from your computer. One is to download an anti-spyware application such as AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/default.shtml.en). Install and then update the definition. Run the application and you will see, I am sure, many, many files that it detects. Follow the instructions to remove the offending files and you should be fine. The other option is to manually remove files and do a registry edit. We will hold off on that option and use it only if the AdAware doesn't work for you. Dear tar_heel, Your suggestion to download and use lavasoft spyware worked great. It completley cleaned out shopnav and my searhes are executing much faster. Thank You Again, bigmike |
