My boyfriend is in the military and we will be getting an apartment
together in a few months, but we won't be married. I know there's a
military clause that can be included in the lease so that he can be
let out of the lease with 30 days notice if he has to deploy. My
question is, what do I need to do to make sure that I don't get stuck
in a lease if he gets stationed at a different base and I have to move
with him? If we co-signed the lease, the military clause wouldn't
apply to me because we aren't married. But if he signs the lease
alone then how am I legally allowed to be a resident as well? Thanks.
