Question ID: 414590
I am looking for a history of failed or failing community conference
centers in US. I understand that many built are not viable and end up
as white elephants, supported by unexpected tax dollars. Where can I
find this kind of info on the net?

Hello gus39-ga,

Here is an article discussing some of the issues involved with
community conference centers.

http://www.hotel-online.com/Trends/ERA/ERAImpactConventionCenters.html#5.
Economic Impact of Convention and Conference Centers

Considering the price of your question, I'd like to understand what
type of information you would accept as an answer. Do you want
examples of specific failed convention centers? How many? Are you
looking for industry trends? The more you can tell me about the
context of your question, the more likely I will be able to get you
the information you need. I look forward to your clarification.

Do you want examples of specific failed convention centers?
Yes,please

How many?
How many can you reasonably find?
Are you looking for industry trends?

In failed Centers?
Yes. I believe there are too many being buit that for market reasons
should not be. One is being contemplated for Williamsport, Pa, where I
will have to help pay for it.

Tanks for asking, Gus
