I have a penpal who Ive been exchanging letters with for years. She
lives in Poland, and myself in the USA. We write at least once every
other week, but i never stopped to consider how this works. So, how
does the airmail system work?

What are the steps involved from leaving my mailbox to being delivered in Poland?
