Glandular Hairs of Sigesbeckia jorullensis Kunth (Asteraceae):
Morphology, Histochemistry and Composition of Essential Oil

Method of extraction from this article is quoted below.

Quote
"Samples of fresh inflorescences (30 g) of S. jorullensis, randomly
collected during flowering, were placed in a round-bottom flask
containing 500 ml deionized water. The samples were then steam
distilled for 4 h in a Karlsruher-type apparatus (Stahl, 1953), which
is similar to a Clevenger-type circulatory steam distillation
apparatus. The essential oil was trapped in 1 ml analytical grade
n-pentane and analysed by GC and by GC-mass spectrometry (GC-MS)."
