Grouper -- That helps enormously, especially knowing the time of year. November weather off the Washington and Oregon coasts can be rough and foggy, though prevailing winds will be southwesterly. A good Seattle-based resource is 48 North. They don't do a lot about blue-water sailing but have quite a bit about local resources in Washington and British Columbia waters. You could spend weeks in the San Juan chain: http://www.48north.com/ From their January 2004 issue, an article about sailing from Seattle to SF: http://www.48north.com/jan_2004/sea_pilgrim.htm I'll look for some other resources for you but this aviation page may help you get an aerial look at the NW Washington coast: http://www.aviating.com/mooney/landmarks/TOURHOME.HTML Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

Also this could help: http://www.marinamap.com/en/ You can start checking marinas all along the coast using this link: http://www.marinamap.com/en/marinas/442.shtml Regards CaptainTom |
