I am writing a senior thesis and need a quote by Perucci, a theorist
of Commedia d'elle arte. I know that he warned against too much
buffoonery in comic works and strongly advised that comedy needed a
unity of place and structure, in order to bring it up to the level of
high art. I have written 50 pages, but have returned my lilbrary
books. My focus is on Harlequin and Commedia d'elle arte. I'm
counting on you to give me the quotation, so I can substantiate my
position. I hope you can give me the quote. Yes?

Could you mention Perucci's first name?
When and where did he live?

Perucci was an Italian theater art critic who lived during the l7th
century when Commedia d'elle arte dominated the stage. Arlecchino
(Harlequin) was the most popular actor of Commedia.

Unfortunately, I returned my library books and I don't know his first
name. My thesis focus is Harlequin, the legendary character.

Perucci was important in defining the perimeters of comic performances.

Could it be Baldassare Peruzzi?

His expertise was in scene painting and stage design.

Can find no reference to his playwriting/improvising.

When do you need this quotation for? I know the quotation you are
looking for. Now the problem is getting to it. I have to look through
my papers, I might find something.
