Hello duckfrog,

Thank you for your question.

"Floodlight" (http://www.floodlight.co.uk) , the official guide to
courses in London, lists all the part-time and full-time courses run
by government-funded colleges, universities and adult education
centres in all the London boroughs.

Using Floodlight's "Course Finder" I found two courses which cover the
basics of electrical wiring in the home:

dear jack,
thank you for your thorough response. As I said, I would like to
learn such things as wiring houses. I think the courses you supplied
are too basic, such as changing a light bulb or wiring a plug. I had
already looked in floodlight and their didn't seem to be anything
suitable ( I should have said in my question that I had already
searched there and also looked in other publications such as Hot
Courses.) To be more specific, I am looking for something which is
more "electrician orientated" with or with out certification. Thank
you and best wishes, anthe
