QUESTION ONE
I need to know a few statistics, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Basically I need information about viewing media online (though not
about music downloads, or pornography). I have heard a couple of
rumoured statistics: firstly that the Spiderman 2 trailer was viewed
20 million times on the day it appeared online, and that the 1st
episode of Star Trek: New Voyages (www.newvoyages.com) was downloaded
6 million times. Are these true?
Are there any other statistics around online media? e.g.:
How many film trailers are viewed per day on average? For what film
genre is most popular? Which countries download the most trailers?
How many individual people regularly view any media (e.g. film
trailers, short films - but not pornography) online? And how often,
once a day/week/month? What age/social demograph/gender are these
people?
Any statistic/forecasts/facts about visual media online would be very
helpful. E.g. When do people watch media online (at home? Work?)? How
long do people like the visual media to be (1min? 3min? 10min?)? How
many people download films from the internet? Or watch film clips (as
Alien Vs Predator and Lord of the Rings offered)?
If there is other information to do with online visual media you think
might be useful, ask and I?ll clarify.
Thanks very much for your help.
