Does anyone know how many European Cathedral Cities there are?

That depends on what you mean by a cathedral city. If you're
interested in artistically and historically important churches, the
answer is largely subjective. If you're interested in all cathedrals
of any kind, then the answer runs into the thousands, since every
Catholic diocese and Anglican bishopric has a designated cathedral.

That means any city in Europe that has a Cathedral regardless of what
it is. Does that help?

In other words, you want to know the total number of Catholic dioceses
and Anglican bishoprics in Europe, correct? Do you want to consider
the entirety of geographic Europe, that is, all of the continental
land mass west of the Urals as well as the British Isles?

Yes please but they must be in Cities. Do not include anything west of
the Urals please but all of the British Isles. Hope that helps.

All of Europe is, by definition, west of the Urals. I'm afraid I can't
help you with this question, but perhaps another Researcher can.

Sorry I misunderstood your question I thought you were asking about
parts of Russie, Ukraine etc. I do require all parts off Europe except
the aforementioned. Sorry it's been a long day.
