Hod do I cite a t-shirt in accordance with MLA guidelines? I have a t-shirt that says something on it, and I want to include that something in a paper I'm writing, and I also want to cite the t-shirt as the source. How do I do this? |

Google what the t-shirt says; it may come from elsewhere. |

Dear Lousyd, I must say I agree with Nelson, most of the T-shirt quotes are not original, and you may find them online. I also think, basically (and I've taught my faculty's intro course on writing methods), that writing only "found on a t-shirt" would be enough. Therefore, there is also no official direction to that in MLA books. But, for those who must leave with MLAs :-) ... [T-Shirt Manufacturer], "[title]", [place where the T-shirt has been found/spotted], [date]. |

OMG - I wrote "leave". Goddess of spelling, please forgive me. |
